Exterior PaintingSteps

Exterior painting can be applied in temperatures down to 35 degrees.  Paint stops coalescing and melding if it's too cold.  This will lead to the paint peeling because it does not develop the proper surface bond.

  • Step 1 - Free pressure wash with purchase of home exterior paint jobs!  Prep work begins with washing off any dust and dirt buildup from the exterior walls.  This step creates a clean surface for the new paint and primer.

  • Step 2 - Next knock off and/or sand any peeling paint that may remain after washing.

  • Step 3 - Caulk and repair any cracks or holes around the outside of the home's walls and trim.

  • Step 4 - Wrap and protect all surfaces that will not be painted.  Doors, windows, lights, ect.

  • Step 5 - Finally some paint!  Now it's time to apply primer.  Priming the house first ensures the paint will develop the proper bond and avoid peeling later.

  • Step 6 - Now the color mixed paint goes up.  This usually will require two coats of paint for full coverage.

  • Step 7 - Almost done! at this time, the trim gets painted along with any touchups that need to be done on the walls.

  • Step 8 - The final step is cleanup.  All window and door coverings will be removed, tools packed up, and trash collected.

  • Step 9 - Enjoy your beautiful house!
